Ethan Fleming Dragged a 2ton Jeep Wrangler 100km In Just Over 48 Hours

I first became interested in this event as I wanted to find something that scared the living crap out of me, something I genuinely from the bottom of my heart thought was impossible.
Like most things in life, the idea didn't come to me by accident. I was searching for a quest, I sat down each night for two weeks writing on a whiteboard and drawing lines between exercises and distances and this is how I landed on the 100km pull.
I trained for this event for just over 6 months, consisting of lots of weights training and HOURS upon HOURS of dragging a heavy sled around the park.
The goal was quite simple, drag as many heavy things behind me as possible, as often as possible.
"A world record for the longest ever recorded car pull"
There's not much about this event that went right when it came to weather. During the day it was HOT and in the night we had 100km winds and rain.
There were times where I was so convinced that I wasn't going to be able to finish it that I felt like I was having a panic attack mid event.
During a hard physical challenge, one of the hardest things to do is to silence your mind, to stop overthinking and to just be present in the event. For me the first 20km's I did absolutely none of that. I was frantic, worried and scared, I was 100% convinced that I wasn't going to be able to do it, and when that's your thoughts in the first 20% of the event, you know you are fu*ked.
The thing is I knew two things going into this event;
Lucky for me - It was the former...
The important thing to remember in life is that there not failure if you give it your 100%
"For Mum,
You’re my personal idol. Growing up we didn’t have much money, so you often went without so I didn’t have to.
I hated seeing you struggle, witnessing the domestic violence in our family, seeing you sad. You’re the strongest person I know and I want to do this for us, and for all the families who are going through the same thing.
There is life on the other side if you can get help.
That is why I’m taking on the insane task of dragging a 2.1 tonne Jeep Wrangler 100 kilometres (Yes Kilometers) to raise money for White Ribbon Australia."
MONEY RAISED: $10,566.48
